The Archer School for Girls InvenTeam invented a compact kitchen faucet attachment that monitors water usage and encourages positive water-saving behaviors. The attachment replaces existing faucet aerators and includes adapters to make sure that the product will fit most common home faucets. The attachment displays data and icons on an attached OLED to inform users how their water use compares with daily recommended amounts from local municipalities. Users can then adjust water consumption habits based on this information. Additionally, a timer alerts the user if the water has been running for more than a recommended amount of time. The device uses four rechargeable AA batteries.
